We were delighted to this week be announced as the Clean Growth category winners of the UK Tech Rocketship Awards.
The awards are run by the UK government’s Department of International Trade in an effort to find leading-edge technology companies that can help support the UK’s innovation priorities. Open to established scale-ups, this is the first time the initiative was available to companies from Australia and New Zealand who offer innovative, technology-led solutions across a range of industries and are ready to internationalise.
We are humbled to be recognised among some great company. Nearly 200 technology companies took part in the competition across its award categories.
Of the winners, Michael Ward, British Consul General and Director General, Department for International Trade (DIT), Australia and New Zealand said:
“I am absolutely delighted at the response to our Tech Rocketship Awards and the exceptionally high calibre of entries. It is fantastic to see so many innovative Australian and New Zealand companies delivering leading-edge technologies.”
carbonTRACK was announced the winner of the Clean Growth category. This award was open to companies delivering clean tech, resource efficiency, energy storage, low carbon technologies, systems and services and related technologies to help the UK move to cleaner economic growth.
With established relationships in the US, Africa and NZ, the UK is an important part of our global expansion plans. Along with the other award winners, we will now travel to London to participate in a series of meetings, networking events and workshops aimed at supercharging these plans.
We look forward to making new connections in what is one of the world’s main tech hubs.
“The cost of energy and the wastage associated with traditional methods of production are a big challenge in the UK, as they are in the rest of the world. carbonTRACK technology can bridge the gap between energy supply and demand and therefore help reduce costs and eliminate wastage. We believe that UK and Europe are ready to embrace this change,” says Shavaj Kallamkote, our Co-Founder and CTO.
So here’s to a great finish to 2018, new international friendships, and an even bigger 2019!
